Traffic Issues alert for 18th Avenue North Outfall in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Contractors working on the 18th Avenue North Outfall – Landward Drainage Project in the City of North Myrtle Beach have initiated their operations and started implementing traffic control measures such as signage, cones, and barrels. These measures are being put in place in anticipation of the upcoming installation of underground storm drainage pipes along North Ocean Boulevard, 16th Avenue North, and 18th Avenue North.

Work on North Ocean Boulevard related to the 18th Avenue North Outfall is anticipated to be completed by April 2025, with the remaining project work scheduled for completion by August 2025.

The traveling public is advised to anticipate potential delays, lane closures, and detours as work progresses along North Ocean Boulevard, 16th Avenue North, and 18th Avenue North. To minimize disruption, we encourage motorists to seek alternate routes whenever possible.
