The City of Myrtle Beach features a 2nd Avenue North Free Fireworks show July 4th at 9 p.m.
About the 2nd Avenue North Free Fireworks Show
The shows that are normally on Wednesday nights will be at 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 4, next week only. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Independence Day fireworks show. The show is free and presented by the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance and Oceanfront Merchants Association (OMA)
Several other Fireworks shows will be offered along the Grand Strand at around the same time as the 2nd Avenue North Free Fireworks show.
North Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet are hosting fireworks shows on July 4th, including Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and Murrells Inlet.
Cherry Grove Fireworks Display
A complimentary Fourth of July Fireworks Display will be held at the Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach. The show is set to take place from 9:30 PM to 10 PM on July 4, 2025.
This display is considered more popular than the 2nd Avenue North Free Fireworks show in Myrtle Beach.
For anyone planning to enjoy the free, professional fireworks show, please be aware of the following information:
- Show starts at 9:30 PM and ends at 10 PM.
- Operating a golf cart is limited to sunrise to sunset.
- The sale, possession, or use of fireworks in the city limits of North Myrtle Beach is prohibited. The Cherry Grove Pier fireworks display is a permitted professional event.
- During the Fireworks Show, the 3500 block of North Ocean Boulevard (area where Cherry Grove Pier is located) will be closed – This includes the Cherry Grove Pier.
- A small portion of the beachfront directly adjacent to the Cherry Grove Pier may be closed off by Police and Fire personnel starting at 7 PM until show’s completion, dependent on weather and tidal conditions present.
- Please check the tide chart and plan accordingly for those planning to watch from the shore.
- Parking is not allowed in the median on Ocean Boulevard.
After the Fireworks Show, there will be a reverse traffic pattern implemented by the North Myrtle Beach Police Department in Cherry Grove to facilitate the departure of the numerous vehicles from the Cherry Grove area.
Murrells Inlet Fireworks Display
Celebrate the Fourth of July at the MarshWalk! Join the Seafood Capitol of the Grand Strand at 4025 Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 on Friday, July 4 at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The 42nd annual event in Murrells Inlet will showcase a boat parade at 2 p.m. along with live music, food, and beverages all day long.
This display is the Grand Strand’s largest and is also considered more popular than the 2nd Avenue North Free Fireworks show in Myrtle Beach.
The MarshWalk will host the Grand Strand’s biggest aerial fireworks display at 10 p.m. to keep the celebration going.
