A Myrtle Beach police report shows that Bree Melinda Clarkeson, 30, was arrested on Monday and charged with illegal negligence in her 3 year old child.
Police were called to an unspecified location in the City of Myrtle Beach on June 8 and saw Clarkson allegedly unconscious in the driver’s seat due to an overdose of drugs. According to the report, a 3 year old child was running around an asphalt parking lot and near the main road in the high summer heat.
Myrtle Beach police have charged her actions as putting the child at unnecessary risk.
There are no reports on how long the child had been wandering the parking lot before police arrived.
Clarkson is being held at the J. Ruben Long Term Detention Center with a $ 10,000 bond requirement.
