Winter may be the most popular season of the year, but summer is a close second. There’s nothing like hitting the beach or lounging in your backyard on a warm evening with friends and family. But sometimes, even the best-laid plans can go awry when you’re hit with summer heat waves, especially if they don’t prepare for them appropriately. Here are six effective hacks to help you fight the heat wave!

1. Drink Plenty of Water

The first thing to do is drink plenty of water! This will help your body stay hydrated, preventing heat stroke and other serious health issues. You should aim for around 2-3 liters per day, but if you feel thirsty or notice that your urine is darker than usual, then make sure you have more (up to 4 liters a day).
