93% Of Locals – 78% Of Tourists Oppose Barricades On Ocean Boulevard

In polls, which are still ongoing, across Facebook on 6 different Facebook pages and the OUR PLACE Locals Facebook Page, 93% of local residents, merchants, and property owners in the Myrtle Beach area oppose putting barricades back on Ocean Boulevard again this Summer 2018.

78% of tourists polled were also against the barricades.

The City Of Myrtle Beach will hold a council meeting on re-installing the barricades for Summer 2018 at   9:00 a.m. this Tuesday – City Council Workshop, Council Chamber, Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center, 1101 North Oak Street

At 2 p.m. City Council will allow public comments from locals who both support and oppose the barricades.  MyrtleBeachSC.com asks all interested to attend and speak.
