After enduring a biblical flood last Fall with waters from Hurricane Florence, Polo Farms residents are now facing a request from a local realtor asking Horry County Council to allow his group to mine at the residential neighborhood.

Residents Lin Kovack, Peggie Bushey, and others spoke out today against mining in the area. All Polo Farms residents opposed the mine.

Most say they simply want to return to life as normal.
