Support Staff Person of the Year

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) announced its annual Employee Award Winners in November.

The recipient of the 2021 SCDPPPS Annual Award for Administrative Support Staff of the Year is Ashley Bates Dial.

She is a Field Office Specialist in the Horry County office. In this role, she is responsible for performing secretarial and paraprofessional administrative duties.

Dial has been employed with SCDPPPS for eight years.

A co-worker said, “Ashley will find joy and fulfillment in any task that is handed to her.” Dial is a 1999 graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School. She is married, has one daughter, currently attends Living Water Baptist Church and has fond memories of the youth group at Lakeside Baptist Church.

SCDPPPS is charged with the community supervision of nearly 22,000 offenders placed on probation by the court and paroled by the State Board of Paroles and Pardons. The Department also supervises offenders through a number of community sanctions, and helps ensure that they meet specific conditions of parole.
