A person was taken to the hospital after another Saturday shooting was reported in Myrtle Beach.

Details of Another Saturday Shooting Incident on 14th Ave South

The Saturday shooting happened in the vicinity of the Summer Sands Motel.

Tourists around the 1400 block of South Ocean Boulevard put out a call at 5:42 p.m., prompting the Myrtle Beach Police Department to send officers to the location.

A gunshot injury was reportedly sustained by one individual, who has been transported to the hospital.

Authorities have stated that there will be a continued heightened police presence in the vicinity while the investigation continues.

Second Situation Leads to Barricade on 27th

The situation has now become a barricaded person situation. Officers are working to safely take the person into custody. No other injuries have been reported at this time.

This remains an active and evolving situation. One person has now been taken into custody at 8:42 p.m.

Officers ask that the public avoid the area and use alternate routes when possible.
