Another broken Myrtle Beach sewer line in the Pine Lakes neighborhood is requiring residents to boil water.

ACTUAL VIDEO

The City of Myrtle Beach put out the following official BOIL WATER notice: A leaky six-inch water line in the Pine Lakes area means that the City of Myrtle Beach has issued a precautionary “boil water notice” for portions of Camellia Drive and Jasmine Avenue. Repairs to the leak are underway and should be completed shortly. As a precaution, residents in the affected area (outlined in red on the attached graphic) are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled before use. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative. When tests confirm that the water is safe to drink after the repair, the “boil water” advisory will be lifted. This usually occurs within 48 hours. The addresses affected are 4800 through 4907 Camellia Drive and 609 Jasmine Avenue.
