One of the most popular Myrtle Beach restaurants in Carolina Forest has permanently closed.
Sam Snead’s Restaurant, located just off Highway 501 at 1004 Glenforest Road in Carolina Forest, officially closed on April 2nd.
A sign of the closing was posted on the entrance door.
Sources informed MyrtleBeachSC News that the restaurant owners were in contract negotiations with the building’s owner. These sources stated the restaurant group and the landlord were unable to agree upon new lease terms.
“We’d like to thank everyone for their patronage for the past ten years,” the sign posted on Sam Snead’s front door reads.
Sam Snead’s restaurant crews were seen removing furniture and items from the restaurant on Sunday, April 2nd.
The franchise once operated on Restaurant Row in the Chestnut Hill area between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. The restaurant is named after world renown golfer Sam Snead. The restaurant still operates in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia and in Canada, according to its website.
