In August, a group of local business leaders, social media consultants and residents will be launching a new social media, closed loop service.

CAROLINAFORESTNEWS.com is expected to launch before September 2020.

According to a May 2019 report, social media giant Facebook takes down more than 3 billion fake accounts monthly.

The social network estimates about 5% of monthly active accounts are fake.

AUTHENTICITY IN A “CLOSED LOOP” COMMUNITY?

The new launch will work much like Facebook, without Facebook,” says social media consultant, Tom Cheddadi

Only confirmed Carolina Forest residents will be allowed to join the site. All of the same social media functionality will be available on the site.

Tom Cheddadi is the founder of Buddy Boss. Buddy Boss is an American effort to help small communities migrate to a higher level of social media local trust and experience.

TRUST

Residents want to know they can trust that the people they share information with are real people,” says Cheddadi.

The group created a fail safe platform that does away with 100% of fake accounts. The group will also limit participation to Carolina Forest residents only.

Guests who do not live in that community will not be allowed to join.

Guests can share news, create groups, and post to their own profile pages.

The key difference is each member can be assured that they dialogue with a real person who lives in the Carolina Forest community.

The site will be more interactive than Next Door and more authentic than Facebook says Cheddadi.

We will be inviting current Carolina Forest facebook group leaders to help us navigate this outstanding new opportunity, says Cheddadi.

NO ADVERTISING ALLOWED

The social media group will not allow advertising of any kind.

Any who wish to sign up for the service can do so here: CAROLINAFORESTNEWS.COM
