CCU Theatre Groundbreaking held in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethune welcomed a bevy of local dignitaries in launching the Coastal Carolina – CCU Theatre Groundbreaking today in Myrtle Beach’s arts and innovation district.

The new theatre comprises a part of over approximately $150 million the city has invested in redeveloping the area since 1999.

Speakers included CCU President Michael T. Benson, the Director of LS3P Associates, and Monteith Construction Corporation.

The Theatre is projected to open in 2026. This according to Monteith Construction who spoke at the CCU Theatre Groundbreaking

Mayor Bethune stated the investment was just the beginning of changes in the arts and innovation district.

Bethune said other businesses, investments and shops would open along the area which would be closed to all but foot traffic.
