What are you doing this Valentine’s Day? Are you plans to sit home alone?
Over 46% of Horry County residents are single. Do you feel trapped in a series of relationship spirals, cycling from one negative experience to the next. Perhaps a dating coach is in order.
Amy Duvall, founder of AmyWhispers.com, is Charleston’s leading relationship coach.
Amy spoke with MyrtleBeachSC News about being single and the hard work necessary to avoid future relationship mismatches.
Amy’s dating philosophy:
- “Love doesn’t find you magically. It doesn’t just happen. You have to put in the work, just like at the gym.”
- “For example, I work with a friend who is taking control of her diet. She said ‘But I can’t control my love life.’ I said, ‘What do you mean? You can control your love life. You can control how many people you meet every month. You can control how much time you spend with people who waste your time.'”
- “Growing up and seeing Disney movies, we think love will come to us and it will just happen. I help people realize that even though we can’t control other people, we have more say over our love lives than what we’ve been led to believe.”
Amy offers personal sessions that are one hour in duration and will cover a range of topics tailored to the client’s particular needs. She begins with an intake questionnaire to discover what you’re really looking for in a partner and any potential obstacles to finding him or her. She then examines and improves communication patterns, social media and dating apps, and overall look/image.
It’s recommended to start with a minimum of 3-4 sessions to achieve maximum results. For information on how to schedule a coaching session, visit AmyWhispers.
