MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Carolina Country Music Fest delivered another high-energy day along the Grand Strand, with a stacked lineup of performances, a viral glimpse of life on the road, and at least one fan who left as the talk of the festival.

Drake White opened strong, setting an early tone that had the crowd on its feet, according to Myrtle Beach SC News. Lauren Alaina followed and kept the momentum going, later offering fans a candid look at touring with a family when she shared a moment of bathing her baby aboard her tour bus after leaving the stage. Riley Green closed out the day’s slate and sent the crowd home on a high note.

Luke Bryan, meanwhile, provided one of the day’s more memorable moments. The star was spotted earlier at the Dunes Club golf course and, by his own account, had spent the day enjoying himself and was feeling no pain by showtime. During his set, Bryan turned a fan identified only as Randy into an instant festival celebrity, handing him a bottle of tequila that Randy enthusiastically tipped back to the delight of the crowd. Today everyone is asking “How’s Randy feeling?”

Organizers say the weekend is far from over. Blake Shelton is set to headline Saturday night, a performance promoters promise will not disappoint. Festival goers are being reminded to drink plenty of water, look out for one another, and stay safe in the summer heat.

The festivities carry into Sunday with a community focus. In honor of World Oceans Day, CCMF has partnered with Love, Tito’s, Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful, and SkyWheel Myrtle Beach for a beach cleanup running from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 7. Check-in opens at 10 a.m. at the SkyWheel beach area, 1110 N. Ocean Blvd., with parking available at 301 12th Ave. N. Volunteers should look for the Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful booths to sign in and pick up supplies.

Gloves, bags, pickers, water refill stations, and backup sunscreen will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and appropriate footwear. The cleanup will be canceled in the event of consistent heavy rain or lightning.

The weekend then closes in style, with Post Malone taking the stage Sunday night as the festival’s final headliner — a set expected to bring the house down.
