This past Tuesday,  Spokesman Rich Malzone addressed Horry County Council concerning issues among county residents.

As for shutting down the loop, Horry County Council Chairman Mark Lazarus said they [Horry County Council] are not inclined to do so.

Chairman Mark Lazarus told the Myrtle Beach Sun News:“I stand firm that the loop is something that was needed,” Lazarus said after the meeting.

Horry County Council is the governing body of Horry County, South Carolina.

The council meets twice monthly to conduct county business and to set policy. The council’s duties include approving the budget, enacting ordinances and resolutions, adopting an annual plan for capital improvements and other expenditures, setting millage rates for property taxes, appointing county officials and department heads, hiring a county administrator and attorney to oversee day-to-day operations of the county government.
