Davon Stephens of Loris arrested and charged.
During an alleged armed robbery in Myrtle Beach, several victims attempted to stop the suspect from fleeing.
Among the charges against Davon Stephens, 19, of Loris, are armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, hit and run, and failure to render assistance.
Davon Stephens Arrested
Myrtle Beach Police Department officers responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in the 3700 block of Oleander Drive on July 22.
Stephens followed the victims into the store for a drink. As the victim was checking out, she told police Stephens must have seen the money she had.
Documents state Stephens stole from the victims as they walked out of the store. Documents state items taken include $7,000, two iPhones, wallets, and credit cards.
As per a different police report, the victims eventually followed Stephens’s car. However, he drove away and caused the victims to fall and be injured.
