Horry County Fire and Rescue responded to a 4 alarm fire on Shore Drive at 11:01 p.m. on June 1st.
There are no reported injuries as the result of this fourth-alarm fire on the 9000 block of Shore Drive in Myrtle Beach.
One building—containing 15 units—sustained significant damage, with at least six units receiving fire damage, and several others with smoke and water damage.
Five adults will be displaced and offered assistance from the American Red Cross of South Carolina. Horry County Fire Rescue was initially dispatched to this call at 11:01 p.m., with many area firefighting partners responding to help.
This fire will be under investigation. Shore Drive will be closed to traffic for an extended amount of time as responders will be on scene throughout the day.
