Successful Myrtle Beach entrepreneur Tina Wright was frustrated with shoes not fitting her thin feet. Then her daughter inherited the same problem, and she decided to do something about heel slippage.
One can find many solutions in the drug store from band aids to shoe pads and heel inserts, but they lose stickiness over time and have to be replaced over and over costing more money. Moreover, they don’t fully address the heel slippage shoe fit issues. Ultimately, she was ditching perfectly good shoes that she loved.
So, she made a design, then a prototype and started a black-owned, woman led business selling a better alternative.

“As you can imagine, I was already frustrated with my heel problem giving up some nice pairs of shoes for less professional looking shoes for simple fit and comfort all day,” says Tina Wright. “So, you can imagine when I watched my daughter deal with it as well. I feel I was pulled to this idea, to bring it to life to improve life for people who have thin heels and trouble finding shoes that fit.”
The doctor recommended Heel Sling does what others can’t. It is the first product specifically designed to provide a custom shoe fit and reduce heel slippage with more comfort, and it is meant to stay in place for a long period of time reducing cost and frustration of constant replacement.
