One week away from the U.S. midterm elections, Horry County Republicans held their monthly meeting tonight in anticipation of next Tuesday’s “Red Wave”.

Projections are that Republicans could take as many as 240 U.S. House seats and perhaps even gain control of the U.S. Senate.

Horry County GOP Chairman Reese Boyd spoke to a significant group of 168 people who attended the meeting.

Horry County is a Republican county. Republicans are expected to run the table, county-wide, next Tuesday.

One possible exception is longstanding, Democratic Representative Jackie E. “Coach” Hayes of District 55. Redistricting now puts a significant portion of his district in Horry County.
