Conway High School, part of the SCHSL Class AAAA (4A) – Region 5, has appointed Jody Jenerette as its new Head Football Coach.

Head Coach Jody Jenerette is well known and beloved in our area.

Jody Jenerette: A Proven Leader in High School Football

Jody Jenerette compiled a 56-83 record during his 13-season tenure as the head football coach at Aynor High School (2005–2017). During his time with the Blue Jackets, he led the team to six playoff appearances and three postseason victories. 

Aynor residents loved Jody Jenerette, as they knew how hard is was to accomplish this at a small town school. He stayed on as Head Coach with Aynor until his two nephews graduated from the school.

Jody Jenerette served as the head football coach at West Florence High School from 2018 to 2024, compiling a 49-21 record (.700 winning percentage) over seven seasons. He led the Knights to significant success, including Class 4A Lower State final appearances and multiple seasons with 10+ wins.  Jenerette proved he could win anywhere during his time at West Florence.

Daily commutes from Horry County, his place of residence, to West Florence were exhausting.

Jody Jenerette served as the offensive coordinator at North Myrtle Beach High School for the 2025 season. He brought extensive head coaching experience to this role. North Myrtle Beach hoped Jenerette would take on their head coaching job after Coach Greg Hill left the position in 2025.

As of January 26, 2026, Perry Woolbright has been approved as the new Head Football Coach at North Myrtle Beach High School, returning for his second stint with the Chiefs.

Local sports commentators anticipate a strong performance from Jenerette at Conway. Jenerette has a track record of success in both school and life.
