A judge filed a nine-page order on May 12th denying candidate Michael Isom’s appeal of the certification by the Atlantic Beach Municipal Election Commission of candidate John David as the winner of the special election to replace deceased Councilman Jim DeWitt.

Isom can file asking the judge to reconsider, something judges rarely do, and/or file an appeal to the S.C. Supreme Court. David can not be seated until the time for filing for reconsideration, and its determination, if filed, or for filing an appeal has lapsed or, if a further appeal is filed, until the Supreme Court has ruled and time has expired for reconsideration
