This coming weekend is the last peak, Summer beach Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of 2021 before many public schools start back over the next coming weeks.
All Horry County Schools start back this coming Tuesday.
Peak season 2021 has been a record setting year for the Grand Strand. Hotel occupancy rates and hotel revenues are the best since the City of Myrtle Beach was founded in 1948.
Schools located in Northern States will start later, beginning early September.
Locals and tourists alike are expected to fill the beaches this weekend to catch the last wave of Summer.
