NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The City of North Myrtle Beach announces the retirement of Sanitation Operations Manager Lent Williams, who has dedicated more than 45 years of service to the City and its residents.

Williams began his career with the City in the Streets Department before transitioning to the Sanitation Division, where he became a valued leader and mentor. Throughout his decades of service, he played a vital role in keeping North Myrtle Beach clean, safe, and welcoming for all who live, work, and visit here.
“I have had the privilege of serving the City of North Myrtle Beach for over 45 years, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this community,” said Williams. “I will truly miss working alongside my colleagues and being part of such a dedicated team. It has been an honor to contribute to the City’s journey, and I sincerely wish continued success and growth in the years ahead.”
City leadership commends Williams for his unwavering commitment, tireless work ethic, and positive influence across multiple departments.
“Lent’s dedication to the City has been unmatched,” said City Manager Ryan Fabbri. “His leadership, professionalism, and institutional knowledge will be deeply missed. We thank him for his many years of service and wish him all the best in retirement.”
Williams’ last day with the City is Friday, July 4, and he plans to enjoy more time with family and friends during this next chapter of life.
