One of the most controversial, yet powerful men in the S.C. Senate, Luke Rankin, singled MyrtleBeachSC News out on Facebook, I was told.
Luke Rankin hired his long term accomplice Richard Quinn’s daughters to run campaign ads and manage his campaign strategy this year.
If the name Quinn sounds familiar, as the Greenville News reported on April 19, 2019:
Richard Quinn Sr., a legendary S.C. Republican consultant, was indicted Thursday by a state grand jury on 11 charges of perjury and one charge of obstruction of justice.
The new charges against Quinn, 74, stem from special prosecutor David Pascoe’s three-year investigation into State House corruption, which has led to the conviction and removal from office of four powerful GOP state lawmakers, including Quinn’s son.
Rankin’s ad is political nonsense filled with insider, campaign logic, as well.

Greenville, N.C. operative, John McGuiness, flooded local Facebook groups yesterday. He used multiple Fake Email accounts to spread gutter politics.
McGuiness stated he was trying to influence the outcome of the election in favor of either incumbent Luke Rankin or Carter Smith.
McGuiness received ongoing help from Horry County local Tom Herron. Herron is a $5,000 paid political operative working for Carter Smith.
McGuiness has also been supported by Chad Caton. Caton shared his posts. Caton forwarded McGuiness secretly recorded business meetings. An audio which was leaked to Caton, by Johnny Ervin Fryar Jr – a Clark Parker Campaign Manager, was posted by McGuiness.
DIVORCE AND DIRTY POLITICS
All three candidates, Smith, Rankin and Gallman, are divorced. Senator Rankin had his divorce records sealed. He can do that. He is a powerful Senator.
The issues surrounding Smith’s divorce are unpleasant, but no respectable group would dare put such out on record.
While McGuiness has known Carter Smith for the past 7 years,

it is still unclear if he is completely working for Smith or working for both Smith and Senator Rankin. McGuiness and (Carter Campaign operative) Tom Herron are certainly connected.
