Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist running for New York City mayor, has gained significant traction as a top contender for the upcoming Fall general election by promising a range of cost-free initiatives and offerings throughout his campaign. He emerged victorious in the primary election last night, surpassing Mario Cuomo.

Zohran Mamdani is in favor of increasing the corporate tax rate to 11.5%. He mentioned that his proposal to boost the corporate tax rate would generate $5 billion in revenue.

His campaign focuses on reducing living expenses for New Yorkers by implementing taxpayer-funded subsidies, such as raising the corporate tax rate. Mamdani aims to secure funds for projects that he claims will decrease living costs, including municipal supermarkets and universal child care.

Here are some key areas where Mamdani stands:

• Lowering the Cost of Living: His primary campaign focus is on making New York City more affordable for all residents through these social programs for residents and illegal immigrants.
• Tax the Wealthy: Taxing the wealthiest 1% of New Yorkers (those earning above $1 million annually) a flat 2% tax.
• Affordability Measures: While specific policies are not detailed in all sources, his emphasis on this issue suggests he’ll likely propose measures addressing housing, childcare, healthcare, and transportation affordability through an increase of government programs.
• Social Safety Net: He advocates for building a Department of Community Safety to address social issues like mental health, subway safety, and hate violence, shifting away from a reliance on the police for these issues.
• Defund the Police: Throughout his tenure in NY City, Mamdani has called for efforts to defund the police.
• Progressive Stances: Mamdani is described as a democratic socialist and holds progressive views, as evidenced by his unwavering stance on the war in Gaza, even in the face of significant political pressure. 
• ICE: Protect NY City’s illegal immigrant population from ICE deportations.

Corporate business types rushed to the cameras of Fox News this morning stating they planned to leave the city if Mamdani wins the general election in the Fall.

In 2024, United Van Lines data showed that 59% of New Yorkers were relocating out of the state, with around 20% favoring Florida as their destination. Reasons for this migration included lower taxes, a business-friendly atmosphere, and an improved quality of life, as reported by Fox Business.

In 2024, California experienced a net loss of 239,575 residents to other states, according to the Census Bureau. This makes California the state with the largest domestic migration loss in the country.

Despite the domestic migration losses, California’s population still grew overall due to international illegal immigration.  California is a sanctuary state.

New York is regarded as a sanctuary state due to an executive order issued in 2017 that restricts collaboration between state agencies and federal immigration enforcement. The local level, especially in New York City, boasts stronger sanctuary protections than those provided by state agencies, leading to continuous discussion, as reported by the New York Times.

COURT ROOMS AND CHAOS – The Democrat Party Strategy

California and New York have a higher number of undocumented immigrants than most other states, leading to unrest in Los Angeles and protests at various colleges in New York City.

The dwindling number of American citizens within these states has led the elected   leadership to engage in previously unseen conflicts in liberal legal settings, as well as, creating chaos and turmoil on the streets through protests and riots.

A CALL FOR GANGS TO ATTACK ICE AGENTS

Last week, Vice Mayor of Cudahy, California, Cynthia Gonzalez urged unlawful groups in her city to target ICE agents.

• She is facing a federal investigation after posting a video on social media (which has since been deleted) in which she called on local gang members, specifically mentioning the “18th Street” and “Florencia 13” gangs, to defend their “turf” against federal immigration ICE agents.
• In the video, she questioned the silence of gangs in the face of ongoing immigration operations and urged street gang leaders to “get your members in order” to help organize and defend their neighborhoods.

We have not witnessed such a divide in America since just before the Civil War in 1861.

The outcome of this division remains uncertain, but currently, the border is shut. To sustain the influx of illegal immigrants, blue states must rely on illegal immigrants from red states moving to sanctuary states like NY and California.

The Zohran Mamdani win last night is an example of the extreme divide among American states.
