The Myrtle Beach Police Department reports that it was negotiating with a man at Ocean Park Resort, located at 1905 South Ocean Boulevard at around 7:15 p.m. last night.
The suspect had barricaded himself inside the resort.
Police later said the suspect was taken into custody at around 8:05 p.m.
No persons were harmed. Those in harm’s way during the incident were moved to safety.
Officials added that there will be an increased law enforcement presence in the area.
