The rainy and overcast day did not keep shoppers from visiting the new Market Common Publix grocery store which opened today.
The food chain is now operational in Market Common/Surfside Beach. Market Common residents have been excited about having a Publix in their neighborhood.
Previously, those residents drove to Carolina Forest, 82nd Avenue in Myrtle Beach, or Murrells Inlet if they wanted items from the popular chain.
Publix Market Common sells sushi, seafood items, fried chicken made onsite, deli items, and specialty store items.
The bakery at Publix is considered superior in quality to typical grocery store chains, especially because of their signature cakes and deserts.
