MYRTLE BEACH CITY RESIDENTS WHO WISH TO VOTE EARLY CAN CLICK HERE
Current Mayor John Rhodes cancelled last minute his scheduled appearance in front of a packed local voting audience at the Dunes Club yesterday.
This was his second no show at the forum in the past few months.
Resident events and debates like the main Fall Political Debate scheduled this coming Sunday at the Market Common Recreation Center are being boycotted by the Mayor, Councilman Wallace and Councilman Lowder.
With high profile issues including high crime, a slow business climate, empty store fronts, an outdated downtown area, a drug epidemic, and questions about collusion between the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber and incumbents, organizers of the event expect a standing room only attendance of city voters and say that the debates will go on without the 3 “resident shy” incumbents.
Any residents who wish to vote early after hearing the candidates speak this Sunday can do so here:
VOTE EARLY HERE
Details of the debate are posted below. A large number of challengers who offer a very different and positive future for the city of Myrtle Beach will be present.
