In today’s February 27th MyrtleBeachSC Newsbrief,

  1. The Myrtle Beach Marathon will be held Saturday, March 4th. Drivers, plan ahead, leave extra time to get to your destination and share the road with runners.  Expect congestion and delays between 4:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., especially along Kings Highway, Ocean Boulevard, Farrow Parkway and Grissom Parkway.  Use US 17 (the “bypass”) for northbound and southbound travel.  See https://bit.ly/MBMarathonDetails for information about the Myrtle Beach Marathon and a full list of closures with times.
  2. Kingston Plantation announces $65 million in new upgrades that include an Oceanfront brewery and restaurant.

  4. Market Common residents have concerns over a new 291 home neighborhood being planned.
  5. The new Surfside Beach Pier is scheduled to open in April. The pier is the town’s top attraction.
