Columbia, S.C. (October 6, 2025) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct nighttime closures on part of SC 9 North bound over US 17 in Horry County for bridge repairs beginning October 12.
Understanding the nighttime closures on part of SC 9
These closures will take place every night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday until the end of the month.
As part of this closure, a detour route will be set up. A map of the closure and detour can be found below. Please note that the Southbound lanes of SC 9 will remain open to traffic.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near a work zone.
