North Myrtle Beach Councilwoman Nikki Fontana was taken into custody on August 30th for a first offense of driving under the influence.

The trial court date is set for November 25th.

Nicole Fontana took her first oath of office at the North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting on December 2, 2013.

Councilwoman Fontana holds the City Council seat for the Windy Hill Ward.

That seat is up for re-election in November.

Fontana, the current officeholder, has not filed for the upcoming November election.
