The City of North Myrtle Beach issued a press release today inviting all to the town’s Fire Engine Dedication on July 16th.
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The City of North Myrtle Beach invites the public to attend a Dedication Ceremony for Engine 2 on Wednesday, July 16, at 10:30 AM at Fire Station 2, located on Sea Mountain Highway, in the Cherry Grove section of the City.
Join Us for the Fire Engine Dedication
Following the ceremony, Engine 2 will be available for public viewing. Attendees are welcome to get an up-close look at the equipment and speak with the Firefighters.
This new Apparatus will replace the current Fire Engine serving at this Fire Station. Engine 2 is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensure our First Responders have the equipment and resources needed to serve the community safely and effectively.
“This Engine represents more than just a piece of equipment—it’s a symbol of our continued promise to protect and serve the residents and visitors of North Myrtle Beach,” said Fire Chief Billy Floyd. This newly designed layout brings updated changes to allow our personnel to better operate given some of the unique characteristics of our City. Over the next three years, four more identical Engines with this same design will be placed in service around the City. We are grateful to our City Leaders for their continued support in providing our Firefighters with the tools they need to do their jobs safely and efficiently.”
We encourage the community to join us as we dedicate this resource to the people of North Myrtle Beach.
