The Chief of Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ Chief PIO) in New York referred to the series of trials involving Trump as a deliberate distortion of justice that resulted in negative consequences for the Democrats and Bureaucrats.
Nicholas Biase expressed those remarks to a journalist who was surreptitiously filming on a hidden camera at a New York bar.

“They were like idiots. They‘re all political. They don’t care,” said Biase. “This guy [Judge Mercan] is going to try to lock him up. It’s going to be ugly. They are so obsessed with getting him.” When asked who is they, Biase said the Democrats and Alvin Bragg. Biase said he has known Bragg for 15 years.
“Nobody’s ever been charged with this,” said the DOJ Chief PIO. “I think the case is nonsense.“
When asked what was the point of doing this. Biase responded “To make him [Trump] a convict, a convicted felon.”
Nicholas V. Biase assumed the role of Chief Public Information Officer (DOJ Chief PIO) for the NY Office, commencing on January 1, 2022.
