Myrtle Beach, SC — [February 26, 2026] — A heartwarming story of perseverance and community impact will take center stage at the Myrtle Beach Marathon on Saturday, March 7, as 7-year-old Oliver, a local child who survived premature birth, is honored during Leg #13 of a 50-state marathon mission supporting NICU families nationwide.
Running4Miracles, a nationwide initiative founded by Jason A. Conway, is dedicated to running 50 marathons in 50 states to honor 50 premature babies and raise funds for NICU programs. To date, the initiative has raised over $21,000 to support children and families in neonatal intensive care.
Celebrating Oliver’s Legacy
This Myrtle Beach leg is particularly meaningful as it highlights Oliver’s journey and raises funds for McLeod Children’s Hospital, which provides life-saving care for premature infants and their families. Conway will be joined by Oliver’s family and Deb Bramlett, Development Coordinator for the McLeod Health Foundation, to honor his story and inspire the community.
“This mission is deeply personal,” Conway said. “My own son, Brooks, now 20 and a sophomore at the University of Nebraska, was born at 25 weeks, weighing just 1 lb. 6 oz. He spent four months in the NICU. The Children’s Miracle Network helped save his life, and Running4Miracles is our way of paying it forward.”
