First he said he wanted out, now candidate for Surfside Beach Town Council, Michael Drake, says he will fight for Surfside Beach residents.

Appearing on the “I’m Fired Up” Facebook Livestream show today, candidate Michael Drake announced he is back in the Surfside Beach race.

On “I’m Fired Up”, Drake said, “On election day, on the 19th, I want Surfside Beach to go out and rip the curtain down.”

Drake later told our news team, “I am ready to fight on behalf of Surfside Beach residents. I have a new resolve to stand up for every voter who supported me on November 5th. Together, we will change the culture in this town.

UPSTAGED BY OTHER LOCAL NEWS

Drake’s news was upstaged, however, by reports of a highly connected Myrtle Beach Attorney, Henrietta Golding, being sued in a Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) court case.

Henrietta Golding

Golding famously represented former Horry County Council Chairman, and Surfside Beach Wild Water and Wheels park owner, Mark Lazarus in his contested challenge of the election results of 2018.

Lazarus ultimately lost that race to current Horry County Councilman Johnny Gardner.
