Our American Century was established in 2012 under the name Geaux PAC by its then treasurer, Michael D. Thompson. Mr. Thompson is a former State House Representative hailing from Anderson, South Carolina. You may remember a previous story that included a recording of Mr. Thompson stating he had never heard of the Geaux PAC. The Geaux PAC provided an address to the Federal Election Commission in New Orleans, Louisiana.
How is an Anderson County state representative in South Carolina connected to a political action committee in New Orleans?
Our American Century
Robert Cahaly is a well-known political operative in South Carolina, known for his frequent appearances on FOX News as the Trafalgar Group. Cahaly is from Anderson County. A close associate of Mr. Cahaly is a state house representative from Louisiana, Julie Emerson. Mr. Cahaly is part of numerous different companies involved in political campaigning and consulting. One of his favorite names to assign to his companies is Ace Tomato. He has Ace Tomato, Inc., Ace Tomato Enterprises, Inc., and Ace Tomato Public Relations. Ms. Emerson is part of the Laginappe Communications Group in New Orleans.
In 2012, the only entity paid money from the Geaux PAC was the Laginappe Communications Group.
In 2018, the Geaux PAC changed its name to Our American Century. Ace Tomato Public Relations was the only entity paid money from the new Our American Century PAC in 2018.
In 2020, Our American Century paid funds to the NOW Television Network from Easley, SC. The registered agent for NOW Television is none other than Mark Burns, the congressional candidate who recently lost in a runoff election in 2024. You know, the fella who obtained a $500,000.00 loan from some bank in Missouri based on only $16k in contributions to his campaign. If you want to read more, find the link to the Post & Courier Article discussing this irregularity below.
In 2022, Our American Century paid funds to “Swamp King, LLC.” The registered agent for Swamp King is a Wesley T. Martin from Effingham, SC. His bio says he is a real estate developer and “private lender.” However, he was paid $15,050.00 for “PAC media Communications Service.”
Our American Century is a South Carolina creation paying money to South Carolina interests and protecting South Carolina politicians. According to Paul Gables, Our American Century published attack ads against Senator Luke Rankin’s opponent this past election.
Why is a national Super PAC with more than $10 million in contributions filing ads for a South Carolina State Senator?
Well, maybe because $5,000,000.00 of those contributions were paid to a sleepy headed young man in Virginia under the auspices of providing internet ads for campaigns. Click the video below for my brief conversation with the voice that answered the phone when we called Old Town Digital Agency in Virginia. Old Town Digital Agency was paid $5 million from Our American Century for campaign work. A complaint with the FEC was filed against Old Town Digital Agency recently and it provides some very interesting reading.
Listen to the recording. Does that sound like a $5 million business to you?
The further we dig, the more red flags appear. Why do all of these PAC’s seem to use the same addresses over and over again? Why do these PACs all have connections to the same people in Louisiana, South Carolina, Virginia, and Utah? It’s a web that screams corruption, but no one in the Uniparty wants to investigate, because they all benefit from the corruption. But we will keep digging and reporting on what we find.
Our next article will dig deeper into the South Carolina connections to our American Century, including some politicians that publicly stated they would not be involved in any political PACs.
