The North Myrtle Beach Chamber Foundation and Destination North Myrtle Beach are gearing up for their second annual “Oyster Roast for the Coast” – an event that combines community dining with environmental conservation.

Set for Saturday, February 28th from 11 AM to 3 PM at Boardwalk Billy’s on 13th Avenue North, this family-friendly gathering promises fresh oysters, BBQ, and live music from Randy Atwood & The Renegades.

But organizers say this isn’t just another seafood festival. The event aims to educate the community about oyster shell recycling and its critical role in improving water quality, supporting marine habitats, and fighting coastal erosion – issues vital to the Grand Strand’s future.

Economic Impact: Proceeds will fund an expanded promotional campaign designed to boost local business activity and attract both residents and visitors to North Myrtle Beach establishments.
