The U.S.A. peaked three days ago

The peak for the U.S.A. happened three days ago with 2481 deaths on April 15th.

The peak in daily deaths for S.C. happened on April 9th with 16 deaths in one day.

State-wide hospital resource use happened for S.C. on April 15th.

All predictions were wildly off

The forecasts nationally went from originally 2 million deaths, down to from between 100,000 and 200,000 in March.

IHME now predicts 60,308 COVID-19 deaths nationally by August 4, 2020.

The population of the United States is 330 million.

The forecasts for South Carolina were originally at 1,000 deaths by August.

Predictions now are 217 total S.C. deaths by August.

The population of South Carolina is 5.1 million.
