Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 5 – 7 PM at Forestbrook Baptist Church in the gym located at 2051 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. The meeting will have a drop-in type format with displays for viewing and citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments. Formal, verbal comments will not be taken during this meeting. Project information, including meeting material, will also be available on the project website https://arcg.is/0PqKeq (case sensitive) or by accessing South Carolina Department of Transportation’s (SCDOT) website (http://www.scdot.org, Public Involvement Portal- Current Projects).

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT and Horry County the proposed improvements to Forestbrook Road between Dick Pond Road (S-616) and U.S. Highway 501. The proposed project would widen Forestbrook Road from two to five lanes with two lanes in each direction and a center turn lane.  Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are also being considered.  Another purpose of this meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT and Horry County will be available to answer questions and discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
