Bull Shark conservation features a special raffle event brought to you by Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS) in partnership with Encounter NC, aimed at supporting the groundbreaking North Carolina Bull Shark Project. This project, set to launch in 2025, will focus on satellite tagging pregnant bull sharks in North Carolina waters to enhance public safety and foster species understanding through innovative technology.

The project aims to conduct groundbreaking research by satellite tagging pregnant bull sharks, which will provide critical data on their movements and behaviors. In addition, we are developing a user-friendly mobile application that will allow the public to track these tagged sharks in real-time. This innovative app will enhance public safety by informing beachgoers and local communities about the presence of sharks in their area, ultimately contributing to safer and more informed interactions with our marine environment.
