Myrtle Beach will hold game after Gunfire in North Charleston

(MYRTLE BEACH – June 3, 2022) The two teams involved in a little league game interrupted by gunfire in North Charleston on April 25, 2022, will conclude their season on a high note with a celebration at The Ripken Experience™ Myrtle Beach on Saturday, June 4. Each player will receive an autograph Cal Ripken, Jr. baseball as part of their memorable day, which will include a rematch of their game on world-class fields.

Ripken Baseball reached out to the Dixie Youth league to extend an invitation to play in their world-class facility and be treated like big-leaguers for a day. The teams will start a new game at the iconic complex in Myrtle Beach, complete with walkup music, Ripken Baseball gear, and a catered postgame party for the players, coaches, and the families.

The original video of the youth players ducking for cover has been seen by all levels of the baseball community and millions of people around the world.  

The little league game at The Ripken Experience™ Myrtle Beach (3051 Ripken Way, Myrtle Beach, S.C.) will begin on June 4 at 12 p.m.
