Authorities have made an arrest after locating the remains of 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel, of Rochester, NY, who went missing from Myrtle Beach while on Spring Break in 2009.

Georgetown County Sheriff Carter Weaver confirmed the discovery during a press conference on Monday afternoon from the Georgetown County Judicial Center, during which he announced the arrest.

15th Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson can be heard in the video here.

Richardson stated Raymond Moody buried a deceased Drexel. His charges include rape, murder and kidnapping, and he is in custody, according to Richardson.

Moody also committed non-consensual sexual battery against Drexel during the commission of a kidnapping and was done by “utilizing aggravating force,” the arrest warrants detail.

He is in jail with no bond. Moody will be tried for these crimes in court.
