Sailboat Beached at Ocean Creek Resort: What Happened?

Police stated on Labor Day Monday: Early this morning, a sailboat washed ashore near the Ocean Creek Resort.

The owner is accounted for, and there are no injuries reported.

Please stay away from the vessel until it can be safely removed. HCPD Beach Patrol will be present in the area.

The sailboat beached at Ocean Creek Resort located at 10600 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Ocean Creek Resort is considered to be located in the unincorporated area adjacent to the City of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Poor anchoring
