SCDOT begins work on SC Hwy 917 at Long Branch Swamp

Columbia, S.C. (July 8, 2024) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation began work today on the SC Hwy 917 culvert over Long Branch Swamp in Horry County. Construction is expected to be complete by August 30.

As part of the construction, part of SC Hwy 917 will be closed and detoured using Highway 19 and SC 410 (Green Sea Road). Please note that SC Hwy 917 will be open to local traffic only during construction. A map of the detour can be found below
