The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the intersection of state road 471 (S-471) and State Road 472 (S-472) in Horry County for road work that is part of the S-472 bridge replacement. The intersection will be closed beginning on September 16. The closure is expected to be reopened by the end of October.
As part of this closure, a detour will be in place. A map of the detour can be found below.

Those parents whose children attend Kingston Elementary School should use the above map to find alternat routes, especially traveling on Highway 905 or S.C. Hwy 19.
