Shooting in City of Myrtle Beach – Memorial Weekend

Several people were injured late Saturday night, May 23rd, as a result of a shooting on Ocean Blvd, according to Cpl. Tom Vest with Myrtle Beach Police.

Police were called just after 12:30 a.m. to the area of 12th Ave. N for reports of a shooting, Vest said. Police on scene found several people with injuries.

12th Avenue North features RipTydz Bar and Grill Oceanfront, the Beach House Bar and Grill (across the street), and the Myrtle Beach Skywheel just a few blocks south.

The is the second consecutive weekend of violence since the city of Myrtle Beach re-opened on May 15th.

MyrtleBeachSC News has issued a travel advisory for the City of Myrtle Beach as a result of this ongoing violence.
