The annual Shrine Festival Parade takes place on September 20th in the City of Myrtle Beach.

How to Attend the Shrine Festival Parade:

• Find a spot: The parade route is along Ocean Boulevard, so find a good view along that stretch.
• Arrive early: Consider arriving before the 9 a.m. start time to find parking and secure a good viewing spot, especially given the 8 a.m. staging.

On September 20, Saturday, a Shrine Festival Parade will take place along Ocean Boulevard. The parade will start at 17th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard after staging at 8 a.m., with step-off at 9 a.m. It will conclude at 29th Avenue South along Ocean Boulevard. While some roads will be closed, residents will still be able to access their homes.

• 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st Avenues South, between Kings Highway and South Ocean Boulevard (parade staging).
• Yaupon Drive, from 17th to 21st Avenues South.
• South Ocean Boulevard, from 17th Avenue South to Springmaid Boulevard.

Additional information to note:

• No parking on Ocean Boulevard, between 17th and 29th Avenues South, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, September 20.
• Hotel guests on the west side of South Ocean Boulevard will be allowed to travel regularly.
• Guests are encouraged to park on the west side of Ocean Boulevard overnight.
• Hotels on the east side of South Ocean Boulevard will have access to one northbound lane from Springmaid Boulevard to 17th Avenue South.
• Hotel guests and employees entering a hotel after 8:30 a.m. and during the parade must travel north on Ocean Boulevard from Springmaid Boulevard to access their hotel. No southbound traffic is permitted during the parade.
• Guests and employees leaving hotels on the east side of South Ocean Boulevard after 8:30 a.m. and during the parade must turn right using the emergency lanes. Drivers can exit Ocean Boulevard to Kings Highway at 16th, 25th and 27th Avenues South.
• Police officers will be available to assist drivers in navigating around the area.
