Police respond to Mt. Pleasant looting

The streets of Myrtle Beach are desolate.

However, more upscale neighborhoods in Carolina Forest, Longs, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Socastee and Conway could experience the same lootings as the town of Mt. Pleasant.

The Mt. Pleasant Police issued the following statement on Monday

Though there may appear to be less people out and you may feel that this crisis is a perfect time to take advantage of our citizens, we strongly advise you to think again. Our officers are still out in force keeping our Town safe. This is just a few incidents that we have dealt with:

Fox Pond:
10 vehicles entered.
Deeshay Hudson was arrested for Tampering with Motor Vehicle.

Pepper Plantation:
4 vehicles entered and a gun was stolen.
Suspects identified and charges are pending.

Old Village:
2 vehicle were entered and a gun was stolen.
1 vehicle stolen on Ellis Street and was recovered.

Snee Farm/Cooper’s Pointe
6 vehicles entered.
Scott Oyer, Dante Brown, and a juvenile was arrested.

One vehicle was entered at Greater Goodwill AME Church at 2818 N Highway 17 with nothing taken.
