Safe Moves for Seniors Opens South Carolina Location
National Nonprofit opened February 2024

Pittsburgh, Pa – Safe Moves for Seniors, a national nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specializing in assisting economically disadvantaged seniors in downsizing, decluttering and moving at no charge, is excited to announce that it has opened a chapter in South Carolina, covering the Myrtle Beach, Horry County and Georgetown areas.

“I was introduced to Safe Moves for Seniors’ Founder and Owner Jill Yesko Diana through Smooth Transitions, a national move management company,” said Tracy Dilligard, chapter leader. “Jill announced she was expanding beyond Western Pennsylvania and presented the opportunity to open a location in Myrtle Beach and I knew I wanted to join her in this endeavor. She provided the logistics while entrusting  me to lead my team to reach seniors in need.”

Yesko Diana shared, “Safe Moves for Seniors is filling a much-needed gap in our communities. Knowing quality move managers and movers provide this service with compassion closes this gap. The work that we are doing will go a long way to alleviate housing insecurity in Myrtle Beach. And, Horry County is the perfect location for an expansion as it is the fastest growing region for baby boomers in the United States.”

Mayor Brenda Bethune, City of Myrtle Beach and Smooth Transitions are trusted partners of Safe Moves for Seniors.

In fact, Mayor Bethune enlisted Safe Moves for Seniors to help transition family members to an assisted living facility. “The first time I met Tracy with Safe Moves for Seniors, I felt so relieved. She helped us all feel comfortable and made the entire process stress free.Mayor Bethune also stated that she knows several other families that Tracy and her team have helped and they all have the same outcome – relief and comfort. “With Myrtle Beach’s growing population of senior citizens, Safe Moves for Seniors is such a valuable asset to our community,” she added.
