Record crowds showed up in Surfside Beach this Memorial Weekend 2021.

Local “home rental” property managers indicate that Summer 2021 will be the most successful in the town’s history.

Surfside Beach Homes

Oceanfront Surfside Beach is lined with rows and rows of upscale beach homes. Large families can join as one with enough room for Grandma, Granddad, Mom, Dad, the aunts and multiple groups of children.

Surfside Beach is a quiet, uncommon experience compared to its noisy neighbor just to the north.

All rentals were full this week.

Expectations are that the resort town will be sold out the entire summer season.

Records on tourism are provided by Coastal Carolina University’s CLAY BRITTAIN JR. CENTER FOR RESORT TOURISM

The center was created in 2001 for the purpose of conducting tourism research and supporting outreach programs that create linkages between CCU’s Resort Tourism Management program, the tourism industry and the resort destination area. The center is located in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. Through its ongoing Tourism Economy Study, the center tracks lodging industry supply and demand along South Carolina’s Grand Strand. The center also provides ad hoc tourism research services to private corporations, destination marketing organizations, as well as city, county and state governments.

Surfside Beach does well during Memorial Day weekend with Harley Davidson Motorcycle riders and their families.
